Meet Susanna

Having been shaped by the experience of displacement, Susanna Choe’s work centers on regenerative development, community building, and bringing emergent strategies to life within traditional institutions. She helps organizations imagine, grow, and adapt by connecting people, ideas, and resources across disciplines and cultures.

At the heart of her work is a belief that many of the challenges we face stem from systems built on scarcity, separation, and control. Susanna is interested in what becomes possible when we move beyond these systems and restore our relationships with one another, with place, and with the natural world. Her mission is to cultivate positive peace and help create the conditions for people and the planet to flourish together.

Throughout her career, Susanna has brought together technologists, funders, policymakers, Indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, wellness practitioners, and community builders. Her work spans independent media, emerging technology, humanitarian innovation, regenerative economics, and place-based development, with contributions to Democracy Now!, ConsenSys, Farms Not Arms, One Billion Happy, Conscious Capital, the Institute of Natural Law, GloCha Foundation NY, Bloom Network, Kinship Earth, and Spark of Hudson.

A proud first-generation Korean-American, Susanna was born in Queens, New York, raised by her grandparents, and shaped by growing up in the most culturally diverse area in the country. She holds a BA in International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder.

She is the founder of the Bioregional Embassy, a diplomatic agency dedicated to evolving governance to be in service of life, rooted in the understanding that humanity is not separate from nature, but a part of it.
